If you are a non-EEA citizen or non-Swiss citizen and you are the sole representatives of an overseas business and you have planned to set up a branch of your business in the UK or wholly-owned the subsidiary, you can apply as a representative of overseas business visa.
To apply for this visa you need to show through documentary evidence that you have knowledge, skill, and experience of the job you will be doing in the UK. You are also supposed to be the sole decision-maker in the business in the UK as the sole representative.
You can also apply if you are an employee of an overseas newspaper, news agency or broadcasting organization and you will be posted on a long-term assignment to the UK. You cannot apply by switching from another category to overseas sole representative of a business. This means, you can apply under this route only from outside of the UK.
When you apply, you will be granted a visa for 3 years in the beginning and thereafter for 2 years. After completing 5 years in this way, you can apply for settlement or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) leading to British citizenship in just another one year time.
You need to be qualified in an approved English language test and have achieved CEFR level A1. Alternatively, if you are from a majority, English speaking country or you have a degree taught in English and equivalent to UK Bachelor degree, you will be considered to have met the English language requirement.
You need to prove that you have enough money to support you during your stay in this country without public funds. If you have any dependent i.e. spouse and children who are below the age of 18 years, you can also bring them with you or they can apply to join you. For any child born while you are in the UK, you need to apply to include them in your application.
In Immigration 2 UK, we shall guide you throughout the cycle of your application and make sure your application is successful. In Immigration 2 UK, our service shall extend beyond your successful application which means you are always welcome to consult us during your stay in the UK and eventual settlement and citizenship application.
